ONLINE Advanced Forensic Video Interrogations: An In-Depth Examination of Video Analysis Processes
April 16 @ 10:00 am - April 18 @ 6:00 pm
ONLINE April 16 – 18, 2024
The examination process and workflow learned in this course will provide attendees with advance examination skills and a greater understanding of the embedded metadata within video evidence files (at the frame-level). Using this information to produce accurate observations or calculations based on the file’s header information will result in a more thorough report and/or presentation and is also relevant information that can be provided to other experts who are untrained in video examination yet rely on video evidence in their field of expertise (i.e., accident reconstruction, use-of-force experts, bio mechanical experts, etc.).
Who Should Attend?
It is recommended attendees have a basic understanding of DME formats, associated metadata and perform DME processing. LEVA membership is NOT required.
Anyone tasked with examining video/audio evidence in criminal or civil investigations. Or, anyone tasked with generating accurate reports involving the calculation of timing intervals used for speed estimations, gunshot intervals in OIS investigations or identifying key moments in human performance factors related to Use-of-Force investigations (i.e., inter-active timing, decision making timing, or the duration of the deployment during the encounter).
