DESCRIPTION:August 10-14\, 2026: Toronto\, Canada\nCourse Overview:\nThe public expectation today is that if a crime occurs\, there will be video/audio of the incident. There is a significant\, specific skill set that investigators need to properly handle and process the digital multimedia evidence that gets collected. If the DME is not handled and processed carefully\, according to best practices\, the video/audio might not be interpreted accurately. This course exposes students to more advanced theory and hands-on techniques that conform to the Best Practices for the Acquisition and Processing of Digital Multimedia Evidence (DME). \nmore info… \nLocation:\nToronto Transit Commission\, 780 Kipling Avenue (Door 5)\, Toronto\, Ontario\, Canada \nTime: Class begins each day at 0800.  The class will dismiss on Friday at around 1530. Barring an emergency\, please do not request to depart early. 100% participation is required\, so early departure\, missed classes or being late for a class will automatically result in course termination for that student. \nTravel & Accommodations:\nNearest major airport: Pearson International Airport (YYZ) : about 15 miles driving from the training site. \nStudents are responsible for securing their own lodging and all ground transportation to / from the airport and between the hotel and class each day. \nThere should be several hotels near the airport as its within driving distance to the training location. They seem to run a nightly rate of between $150 to $200 CDN / $109 to $146 USD. The closest hotel however would be the “Stay Inn Toronto” but their rates for next May aren’t posted but they would be closer to the $200 CAD/$146 USD per night \nMeals: All meals are the responsibility of the student. This is the matchday car park for Leeds United. Access is restricted to this site. Our staff will be on site 45 minutes prior to the published course start time. The car park will be locked 15 minutes prior to the start. Entry/Egress will only be permitted via RSSS staff.
