DESCRIPTION:September 14–18\, 2026: Miami\, FL\nCourse Overview:\nThe public expectation today is that if a crime occurs\, there will be video/audio of the incident. There is a significant\, specific skill set that investigators need to properly handle and process the digital multimedia evidence that gets collected. If the DME is not handled and processed carefully\, according to best practices\, the video/audio might not be interpreted accurately. This course exposes students to more advanced theory and hands-on techniques that conform to the Best Practices for the Acquisition and Processing of Digital Multimedia Evidence (DME). \nmore info… \nLocation:\nMiami Dade Fire Rescue Training Division\, 9300 NW 41st St\, Doral\, FL 33178 \nTime: The course will end by 3:30 P.M. on that Friday. Students should avoid scheduling a flight out Friday evening before 6:30 P.M. \nTravel & Accommodations:\nNearest major airport: Miami International Airport (MIA): near hotels and training site. \nStudents are responsible for securing their own lodging and all ground transportation to / from the airport and between the hotel and class each day. \nRecommended Hotels: \n\nIntercontinental at Doral Miami\nHampton Inn & Suites Miami-Doral/Dolphin Mall\nDoubleTree by Hilton Miami Doral\n\nMeals:  All meals are the student’s responsibility. \nLEVA Policies:\n\nTuition payment / refund policy\nExam retake policy\nTuition is due 30-days prior to the start of training unless other arrangements have been made with LEVA.\n\nDRESS CODE: Business casual.
