DESCRIPTION:March 9-13\, 2026: Las Vegas\, NV\nCourse Overview:\nThe public expectation today is that if a crime occurs\, there will be video/audio of the incident. There is a significant\, specific skill set that investigators need to properly handle and process the digital multimedia evidence that gets collected. If the DME is not handled and processed carefully\, according to best practices\, the video/audio might not be interpreted accurately. This course exposes students to more advanced theory and hands-on techniques that conform to the Best Practices for the Acquisition and Processing of Digital Multimedia Evidence (DME). \nmore info… \nLocation:\nLas Vegas Metropolitan Police Department\, 400 S. Martin Luther King Blvd.\, Building A (South Building)\, Las Vegas\, NV 89106 \nTime: Class begins each day at 0800.  The class will dismiss on Friday at around 1530. Barring an emergency\, please do not request to depart early. 100% participation is required\, so early departure\, missed classes or being late for a class will automatically result in course termination for that student. \nTravel & Accommodations:\nNearest major airport: Harry Reid International Airport (LAS): near hotels and training site. \nStudents are responsible for securing their own lodging and all ground transportation to / from the airport and between the hotel and class each day.  Here is a list of nearby hotels: \nRecommended Hotels: \n\nHilton Grand Vacations Club on the Las Vegas Strip\nHilton Grand Vacations Club Paradise Las Vegas\nEmbassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center Las Vegas\n\nMeals: All meals are the responsibility of the student.
